Academy-planned trips
The Academy periodically sponsors one
day and overnight trips to enhance the educational experience
of its members.
Friday, October 23, 2009—OperaDelaware
Visits SDALL. Singers from Opera Delaware’s cast
of Rossini’s, The Barber of Seville will give
a preview performance with highlights from the opera
and background information by Leland Kimball, General
and Artistic Director, and Jeffrey Miller, Associate
Music Director. This special class session is open to
all SDALL members and will be held at Cadbury on Friday,
October 23, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. Reservation sign-up sheet
will be posted on the bulletin board.
January 20, 2010—A trip to see
the Terra Cotta Warriors of Xian at the National Geographic
Museum in Washington, D.C. The cost of the trip is $35,
which includes transportation, driver gratuity, and
admission to the exhibit.
April 27-30, 2010—7th Annual
New York City Trip.
Sign-up sheets and additional information are on the
bulletin board outside the Academy office. SDALL members
have first priority. Questions about travel may be directed
