Gifts and endowments
Financial contributions are greatly appreciated and
important to the Academy’s current and future
programs and operations. Contributions can be directed
to the Academy Fund, which supports current Academy
programs and operations. Contributions may also be made
to the Academy Endowment Fund, which supports the Academy
with income generated by investment returns on the fund’s
principal. Such gifts are tax deductible to the extent
provided by law.
A gift may be made any time or for a special occasion,
such as a birthday or anniversary. An announcement will
be sent to the honoree and an acknowledgement will be
sent to the donor. Please make all checks payable to
the University of Delaware and note that the gift is
for the Academy of Lifelong Learning.
Gifts may be given in memoriam. An obituary notice
may be worded to indicate that memorial contributions
may be sent to the Academy of Lifelong Learning, 115
Arsht Hall, 2700 Pennsylvania Avenue, Wilmington, DE
19806.
The Academy Endowment Fund is particularly suited to
bequests in wills, charitable trusts, and other giving
options. Such gifts can be structured to benefit both
the donor and the Academy.
Members are invited to consider making a donation
to the Academy during registration by using the space
provided on the Course
Registration form under the payment section.
Additional information on gifts to the Academy is
available by contacting the University Coordinator through
the Academy Office (302/573-4447) or through the University
Development Office (302/831-2104). Whatever the format
or whatever the size, gifts to the Academy are gratefully
received.
