Membership
Membership in the Academy of Lifelong Learning is
open to people 50 years of age or older and to the spouses
of members at any age. Last semester more than 225 courses
were offered to over 2,100 active members. The Academy
of Lifelong Learning welcomes you whether your formal
education ended early in life or you have acquired advanced
degrees. An interest in learning is all that is required.
The Academy is a learning cooperative, and members support
its objectives through their efforts and participation.
The
Academy of Lifelong Learning is a program of the Division
of Professional and Continuing Studies at the University
of Delaware. Academy members must comply with policies
and procedures of the University, including those which
prohibit sexual harassment and disruptive behavior.
The University of Delaware reserves the right to refuse
for good and sufficient reasons enrollment of any applicant.
Except for designated Academy activities, individuals
are not permitted to conduct sales or solicitations
on campus or to solicit using any other venue, including
electronic communications.
